Michael brings together his experience in capital markets (debt/equity/securitisation), project finance and private equity to emerging and new sectors of investments.

Michael worked for Innpact SA in Luxembourg as a founder of Innpact Fund Management SA, the first AIFM dedicated to impact funds. He has supported the setup and launch of numerous EU regulated funds with private debt, private equity, VC, carbon and microfinance strategies. He is experienced in fund governance as a Conducting Officer (approved by the Luxembourg regulator) of an AIFM and reporting to Boards, investors and companies. He has evaluated over 60 climate funds for the International Climate Fund Accelerator.

He evaluated over €42m of EU innovation projects as an expert evaluator for the EU’s Innovation Accelerator – energy, emissions reduction.

Michael founded and managed four pioneer emerging market funds in VC/TMT, growth (3TS Capital Partners) and renewable energy (EnerCap) totalling over Eur 260 mil as well as raising capital from investors and coinvestment with leading European, corporate, UK and US VCs. He has partnered with Advent International, 3i, KfW, Sitra, EBRD and the EIB and was a member of the Investment Committee on all funds completing over 30 investments. He has experience in all aspects of PE and fund management as well as direct investments. Added to this are 25 years working with investors, fund formation and management and as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch in NYC.

Michael has worked in New Zealand, Australia, US, UK, Europe and Central Europe. He has Czech and New Zealand citizenship with residency in Europe.
